Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Accounting Department at BAE Systems Inc.This position is for an Accountant II level with responsibilities to prepare and file various tax returns such as Sales and Use tax, Property tax, and unclaimed property filings, and complete assigned monthly account reconciliations. The Accountant will also support the Accounting Department with various activities such as loading Journal entries in the accounting system and variouse monthly reconcilations . The Accountant will also act as a liaison with other departments such as AP and Procurement.Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 2-3 years of professional accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced term environment
Preferred Skills and Education
• 4 to 7 years of accounting experience• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is a plus
