Accountant 1 (On-site)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) compliance and operational activities. This position will assist with accounting and audit functions, financial reporting, Medicaid program data, and provider application processing.

• Assist with accounting and audit activities and HCBS compliance reviews.
• Prepare financial reports supporting compliance and program operations.
• Maintain and review Medicaid waiver and program data.
• Provide technical assistance to consultants and staff regarding financial internal controls and compliance matters.
• Help resolve issues that delay provider applications or Medicaid participation.
• Review processes and tools and recommend improvements to HCBS monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to support program requirements and address application backlogs.
• Enter and extract database information for compliance tracking and program support.
• Support special assignments and adapt to shifting priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Two years of professional experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, SharePoint, and Access.
• Database proficiency.
• Dependability and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
