About Throne
Throne is a fast growing Series C startup transforming local communities by delivering clean, safe, accessible restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Ann Arbor, and Washington DC, and recent launches in New York City, Atlanta, and Seattle, we're rapidly scaling into new markets in 2027 and beyond.
We recognize an unspoken problem: that better bathroom accommodations are sorely needed in most cities. Public and retail bathrooms are neither positioned to meet demand, nor incentivized to provide the quality experience people deserve.
Our mission is to provide peace of mind to the millions of people who set out on an adventure on any given day. That adventure may be big or small. It may involve taking your toddler to the park, driving a stranger to the airport, running a half marathon, or exploring a new city for the first time.
About the Job
Throne is looking for a full-time Account Manager to join our team, reporting to the VP of Revenue. As our Account Manager, you’ll own a portfolio of enterprise and mid-tier accounts while partnering closely with Sales, Products, Technicians to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and scalable account practices. This role is ideal for someone who has deep experience managing public sector accounts and wants real ownership and influence as we scale. You will manage a portfolio of high-impact accounts with a focus on renewal rate, customer satisfaction/referrals, and expansion.
This role will primarily be performed remotely, with up to 25% domestic travel. We are especially interested in candidates based near our existing markets in Atlanta or the Washington, D.C. area, but we welcome applicants from other U.S. locations who are able to travel as needed.
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, and is eligible for commission in addition to the base salary. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including equity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Account Ownership
- Drive renewals: Own renewals end-to-end, identify risk early, run a clear renewal plan, and close on time to maximize renewal rate.
- Grow accounts through expansion: Earn deep customer trust, uncover expansion opportunities, and advance them by helping customers build internal alignment and identify funding pathways to support growth.
- Increase satisfaction + referrals: Maintain high customer satisfaction by setting expectations early, communicating clearly, and coordinating fast resolution when issues arise, converting successful customers into references.
- Lead customer lifecycle moments: Lead onboarding, pilot launches, and post-launch workflows to ensure deployments land smoothly and outcomes are measurable.
- Run executive-facing customer rhythms: Conduct quarterly business reviews, performance reporting, and insights updates that strengthen relationships and create clear next steps tied to renewals and expansion.
Build Scalable Processes
- Maintain rigorous HubSpot hygiene: Keep account records, renewal dates, stakeholder notes, and customer communications consistently up to date, using clean CRM data to improve forecast accuracy, surface renewal risk early, and stay ahead of renewal outreach and timelines.
- Support new market launches: Partner with Sales + Operations to launch new markets on schedule by gathering customer inputs early, aligning on success criteria, and ensuring new Ops teams bake “customer-first” into day-to-day execution.
- Improve playbooks + forecasting: Contribute to account health tracking, renewal/expansion forecasting, and playbooks (onboarding, comms cadences, QBRs, escalations) so account management scales as the company grows.
- Strengthen cross-functional execution: Identify and inform improvements to customer communication and cross-functional workflows.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience in Govtech Account Management or other relevant client facing, service or relationship driven roles
- Deep experience with municipal budgeting and contracting
- Proven success building relationships within complex, multi-stakeholder organizations in-person and through remote communication channels
- Experience using data to influence decisions and pricing
- You have strong analytical judgment and storytelling ability—knowing what to measure, what matters, and how to communicate tradeoffs and insights with data without drowning people in metrics
- Comfortable owning meetings with executives, elected officials and public sector staff
- Confident representing the company in public-facing settings (including public meetings), delivering clear, on-message updates
- Highly organized, proactive, and naturally anticipates customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
- Experience supporting physical products and/or service operations (preferred)
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with medical options that are 100% employer-paid
- Equity for all US-based positions, so you share in Throne’s growth
- Daily access to earned wages
- 401(k) plan
- Paid time off that grows with tenure, in addition to paid sick time and paid parental leave
- Life insurance, AD&D coverage, and short and long-term disability insurance
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Benefits offered to full-time and part-time employees may vary by State.
