Senior/Lead Python AI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Python AI Engineerto help build an Enterprise Agent Development Platform — a production-grade, cloud-native ecosystem that enables engineering teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale. The platform standardizes agent development across the organization using LangGraph and Strands Agents on AWS AgentCore Runtime.

The initiative spans agent framework design, runtime architecture, marketplace integration, CI/CD automation, and enterprise-grade observability — reducing agent development from months to days while enforcing consistent security, quality, and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Integrate AgentCore Memory into platform agent templates and helper libraries
• Implement agent memory integration with write-on-turn (store session events) and retrieve-on-turn (fetch relevant context) patterns
• Work with AWS AgentCore Memory API to create, query, update, and delete memory
• Design memory namespaces with per-agent isolation and per-user scoping
• Develop Python-based agent memory helpers as part of a platform library for memory-enabled agents
• Enable agent template integration allowing memory activation through configuration without custom code
• Ensure session management and reliable context persistence across agent interactions
• Collaborate with platform teams to maintain consistent security, quality, and governance standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with AI/ML systems
• Hands-on experience with agent memory integration in a production agentic AI project (general backend/API integration experience without agent-specific memory context does not meet this bar)
• Expertise in AWS AgentCore Memory API, including write-on-turn/retrieve-on-turn patterns and memory namespace design
• Proficiency in Python SDK development
• Background in API integration for stateful services
• Skills in session management and context persistence
• Capability to configure agent template memory without custom code
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS AgentCore Memory SDK usage
• Knowledge of LangChain memory integration
• Experience in agent framework development with LangGraph and Crew
• Understanding of conversational AI context handling
• Exposure to FastMCP
