Join Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute and become part of one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. Our Institute is expanding with a new one million square foot, 15 floor, state of the art facility on Main Campus to enhance care for complex conditions such as brain tumors, spine injuries, epileptic seizures, neuromuscular disorders and strokes. The building brings all stages of care under one roof with dedicated areas for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, along with additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and brain study services.
As a member of theHVACteam, you willgain experience working on a wide range of projects and systems, train with the newest technology and receive guidance from fellowTechs and management. While you may not interact with patients directly, your efforts willleaving a positive,lasting impression – from the moment they enter the facility to the time they return home.  Â
A caregiver in this position works nights, 10:30pm—7:00am.Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â
Inspect, repair,monitor,maintainand troubleshoot Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment throughout the facility (e.g., chiller systems, reheat systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), air handling units (AHU), humidifiers, dampers, heating and cooling coils, cooling towers, and pumps).Â
Document andmaintain records of inspections and work performed. Â
Inspect andmaintainall temperature, humidity, and data logging devices, including meters and gauges.Â
Utilize theBuildingManagementSystem (BMS) to address customer service requests, adjust temperature set points, and start and stop equipment.Â
Receive and respond to work orders from the computerized maintenance management system.Â
Respond to alarms and alerts appropriately.Â
Work atadditional Cleveland Clinic locations as needed. Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
HighSchool Diploma/GEDÂ
ValidDriver’sLicense(VDL)and insurable driving recordÂ
Three years of experience withchiller systems, reheat systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), air handling units (AHU), humidifiers, dampers, heating and cooling coils, cooling towersand/or pumps OR militaryexperience as aUtilitiesman (UT), Machinists Mate (MM), HVAC/R (3E1X1), Utilities Equipment Repairer (91C) or a similar roleÂ
Understanding of the tools and techniques used tomaintain,diagnose and repair HVAC systemsÂ
Basic knowledge of building management systemsÂ
Canread blueprintsÂ
Military experience such asUtilitiesman (UT), Machinists Mate (MM), HVAC/R (3E1X1), Utilities Equipment Repairer (91C), Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration (3E1X1) or similar will be consideredÂ
