Our company was founded in 1973 in Luxembourg. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Hamburg-based private bank M.M.Warburg & CO (AG & CO) KGaA, we made it possible for institutional investors to directly access the Luxembourg financial market. This makes us one of the most experienced depositaries for traditional and alternative investment structures in the Grand Duchy. In 2017 the bank was acquired by the Apex Group and renamed to the European Depositary Bank (EDB) in 2019.

We currently hold fund and securitisation structures with a total value of $260 billion. This is mainly allocated to alternative investments, including real estate, private equity, private debt and renewable energies & infrastructure (as of March 31, 2024).

For the avoidance of doubt we do not deal with retail clients. We neither offer any securities (bonds, shares, notes etc.) nor do we act on behalf of any other financial institution to offer such securities to any clients.

The Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible fordesigning, building, and enhancing the organization’s cloudand on-premises infrastructure. This role ensures thedelivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing platformsthat support business applications and IT services. The engineer drives modernization initiatives, implementsautomation and Infrastructure-as-Code, and contributes tocloud architecture and hybrid infrastructure solutions

Mainresponsibilities

CloudEngineering&Architecture

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions (compute, storage, networking, identity).
• Build and optimize Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Contribute to cloud governance frameworks (policies, tagging, RBAC, FinOps).
• Support cloud migration and modernizationprojects.

InfrastructureEngineering

• Architect and maintain hybrid infrastructure (on Prem +cloud).
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware,Citrix,)
• Implement and maintain networks, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and connectivity
• Administer Windows/Linux servers and coreservices.

Automation & DevOps Integration

• Build automation for deployments, configuration, and operations using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructureservices.
• Improve delivery efficiency through automation and reusabletemplates.

Security, Compliance &Reliability

• Implement cloud and on-prem security controls, patching, andhardening.
• Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, CIS, SOC2).
• Maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuitysolutions.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and environment optimization.

Monitoring & OperationalSupport

• Work with monitoring/logging tools (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, checkmk, qualys… ).
• Collaborate with IT Operations teams for incident escalations and RCA.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, designs, andprocesses.

Work experiencerequirements

5–7 years of experience in cloud/infrastructureengineering

Professional IT certification (Azure, AWS, or VMware) Terraform certification

Competences

Technical knowledge andskills

• Strong hands-on experience withAzure.
• Solid Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing,firewalls).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform/Bicep/ARM/CloudFormation). Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization(Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of identity services (Azure AD/Entra ID, IAM, AD DS). Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure automation.

Computer/office softwareknowledgeandskills

• Azure Portal & Azure DevOps Git/GitHub & VMware vCenter
• Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint)
• Microsoft Teams &SharePoint
