Note: This job posting is for Afternoon Shift (From 4PM to 12:30AM)

The successful candidates will be responsible for performing systems/module assembly, systems/module testing, debugging, repair and re-assembly of several GE products at the Markham facility. The duties include compliance to, and support for the GE health, safety and quality practices and standards, GE policies and procedures and other company initiatives such as lean manufacturing.

Job Description

  • Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada

    Shift: Afternoon Shift, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM
    Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

    Salary: 23. $ per hour

    Job Summary

    We are seeking Electronics Technicians to join our Manufacturing Operations team in Markham, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and reassembling GE products while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Test and troubleshoot protection and control relays on the production line.

    • Analyze product failures and perform root cause investigations.

    • Set up test equipment, systems, fixtures, and instruments.

    • Conduct circuit adjustments and testing against electrical standards.

    • Diagnose and repair products using schematics and technical documentation.

    • Maintain electronically controlled machines and test rigs.

    • Support prototype and pilot builds related to engineering change orders (ECOs).

    • Process non-conforming materials (NCM) and document defects in ERP systems.

    • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.

    • Assist with final assembly, packaging, audits, and shipment preparation when required.

    • Support achievement of production metrics including output, quality, and first-pass yield targets.

    • Perform electronic assembly duties as needed.

    • Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Electronics Technologist Diploma/Certificate or equivalent education and experience.

    • Minimum 6 months experience in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or a similar manufacturing environment.

    • Strong technical knowledge of:

      • Electronic test equipment and fixtures

      • Soldering equipment

      • Microscopes

      • Mechanical gauges

    • Ability to read and interpret:

      • Electrical schematics

      • Manufacturing drawings

      • Specifications and standards

    • Strong computer skills.

    • Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset.

    • Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand for up to 6 hours at a time.

    • Ability to bend, stretch, and perform repetitive movements.

    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg).
