Quality Process EngineerPosition Overview
Shaw is hiring a Quality Process Engineer to analyze quality trends and testing data to identify opportunities for improvement, enhance product quality, and support operational excellence. Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and improving processes and equipment in the lab and across Extrusion, Twisting, and Heatset operations.

Responsibilities:Â
Lead and participate in internal and external SMS audits, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.  Â
Support Extrusion, Twisting, andHeatset operations through quality leadership, technicalexpertise, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.  Â
Lead SPC monitoring, analysis, and coaching efforts,utilizing statistical data to drive process improvements, reduce variation, and improve product quality.  Â
Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive measures to reduce off-quality events and improve process performance.  Â
Partner with yarn suppliers, equipment vendors, and Yarn Technical to evaluate materials and systems, resolve quality concerns, and ensure products meet performance expectations.  Â
Serve as the quality representative during customer visits and feedback reviews, addressing concerns and supporting continuous improvement efforts.  Â
Lead laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and calibration programs, ensuring testing accuracy, measurement integrity, equipment reliability, and technical support for laboratory personnel. Manage lab personnel including scheduling overtime andmaintaining time. Â
Coordinate the development, revision, and implementation of SMS procedures and Standard Work to promote safe, consistent, and efficient operations.  Â
Lead the laboratory Tiered Accountability process and collaborate with plant-wide Tiered Accountability and cross-functional teams to drive quality and operational improvements.  Â
Provide oversight for facility Management of Change (MOC) activities and support the tracking and completion of corrective actions to ensure accountability and compliance.  Â
Partner with the Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives and provide backup leadership for quality operations, quality systems, compliance activities, audits, and continuous improvement programs.  Â
Prepare, analyze, and publish quality reports thatmonitor performance,identify trends, and support data-driven decision making and operational excellence. Â

Requirements:Â
Bachelor’s degree required.
Engineering degree preferred.
Preferat least one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment or its equivalent.Â
Six Sigma Black Belt trained or willingness to complete training Â
Must have good interpersonal skills.  Â
Must be able to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing. Â
Must be proficient in the use of software programs (spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software,etc.) Â
