SECTION I: Job Summary
The QC Inspector – Fireproofing performs inspection and testing of passive fireproofing application activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
SECTION II: Job Analysis
Duties & Responsibilities
·        Perform in-process and final inspections on fireproofing application works.
·        Verify surface preparation, primer, and fireproofing material application against specifications.
·        Witness thickness (DFT/WFT) checks and adhesion tests per the ITP.
·        Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
·        Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
·        Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
·        Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
·        Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment (thickness gauges) used on site.
·        Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for fireproofing works.
·        Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and fireproofing standards.
·        Support preparation of quality documentation for fireproofing handover dossiers.

Experience
·         5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on fireproofing/coating application projects.
Education
·         Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
·         NACE/coating inspection certification preferred.
