Job Summary

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing the substrate manufacturing equipment and Automation implementation/Integration. This role combines hands-on Equipment ownership and operational excellence with applied engineering analysis, ensuring consistent equipment stability, product quality, yield improvement, and Capacity Improvement and OEE. The engineer will also contribute to data-driven research and improvement initiatives to advance equipment capability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation improvements.
• Assist in designing, testing, and implementing automation solutions, including hardware and software components.
• Support the integration of control systems, sensors, actuators, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance.
• Document project progress, technical specifications, and outcomes for future reference and compliance. Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and contribute innovative ideas to improve system capabilities.
• Deliver Factory/Equipment digitalization solution and IIOT proliferation.  

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degreein Mechatronics Engineering / Electrical & Electronics  Engineering. Candidates from Computer Science with exposure and interest in Hardware and encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in  SolidWorks, or equivalent engineering software will be added advantage.
• Programming skills: C++,Python, SQL, PLC  will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in Communication Protocol, Hardware Software Interface, Analog/Digital signal processing will be added advantage.
• Experience in technical report writing, field data collection, equipment condition assessment and Digital Twin.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in operational environments
