Job Summary
GA-Intelligence maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of War, and commercial industry. We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities, including THRESHER and DRAGONSPELL, that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground. These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it’s been, and what it’s doing. All of this “data to knowledge” is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. We always want to do more, and that’s where you come in.ÂGA-Intelligence is seeking aSenior Spectrum Warfare Forward Deployed Engineerto support the 53rd Wing and the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing at Eglin AFB, FL. This is a part-time embedded role: you will be based at Eglin and spend a recurring, predictable share of each week on site with the wings, with the balance of your time working alongside our engineering and research teams. The point of that split is leverage — you carry operator problems back to the people building the product and return with something that works, rather than being consumed by the customer’s daily battle rhythm.Â
The core of the job is applying AI to RF. You will bring modern machine learning tooling — foundation models for signal data, learned classifiers, automated labeling, agentic workflows over analyst and engineer tasks — to problems that have historically been solved with hand-built DSP and expert judgment: detection in dense and contested spectrum, emitter characterization, change and anomaly detection, geolocation, and the sense-to-mission-data-file timeline. You are expected to know RF deeply enough to recognize when a classical approach wins, and to say so.Â
You will also serve as a senior member of a team developing and deploying a proliferated sensing network — a distributed, low-cost, networked RF sensing architecture designed to generate persistent spectrum awareness and feed the fusion and ML pipelines behind our products. This is build-and-field work: sensor integration, collection, calibration, data pipeline development, and operational deployment, with the Eglin test enterprise as both customer and proving ground.Â
As a Level 5, you are expected to set technical direction rather than take it. You will shape the AI-for-RF approach across the account, mentor junior engineers and analysts, and influence where the company invests.Â
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as GA-Intelligence’s senior technical presence to the 53rd Wing and 350th SWW, maintaining a consistent part-time on-site cadence and trusted working relationships with operators, testers, and reprogramming engineers at both organizationsÂ
- Set the technical approach for applying AI and machine learning to RF and EW problems across the account, and personally build the hard partsÂ
- Develop, deploy, and sustain AI-enabled RF capability in the customer environment, working inside accreditation, range, and network constraints rather than around themÂ
- Lead design, build, integration, and field deployment of a proliferated sensing network, including sensor node integration, RF front-end and collection configuration, calibration, timing and geolocation, and backhaulÂ
- Build and maintain the data pipelines that move raw RF collection into usable signal data — ingest, conditioning, labeling, storage, and feature extraction at scaleÂ
- Apply machine learning to signal detection, classification, emitter characterization, anomaly detection, and geolocation, and be rigorous and honest about model confidence and failure modesÂ
- Support EW reprogramming and mission data workflows, identifying where automation and ML can shorten the sense-to-MDF timelineÂ
- Support test planning, execution, and data analysis on the Eglin ranges and at associated test events, and turn range data into capability improvementÂ
- Translate operator, tester, and engineer feedback into clear, actionable requirements for engineering and research teams, and close the loop when capability shipsÂ
- Mentor junior engineers and mission analysts, and raise the technical bar on RF and ML work across the teamÂ
- Drive adoption — train users, build trust in the tooling, and make sure what we deliver survives contact with a real test scheduleÂ
- Represent GA-Intelligence’s mission and technical capabilities to senior government stakeholders at Eglin, and shape company investment and expansion in spectrum warfareÂ
We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in RF systems, electronic warfare, SIGINT, or radar, including direct experience supporting operational test, EW reprogramming, or tactics developmentÂ
- Recognized technical authority in RF or EW, with credibility among operational and test engineersÂ
- Demonstrated working knowledge of 53rd Wing and/or 350th SWW mission sets, or directly comparable experience in an Air Force test or EW reprogramming organizationÂ
- Deep RF fundamentals — propagation, antennas, receivers, link budgets, modulation and waveforms, emitter characterization, and EW techniques and countermeasuresÂ
- Strong hands-on engineering ability — proficiency in Python, comfort with APIs, data pipelines, and notebooks, and practical experience with digital signal processing tooling (GNU Radio, MATLAB, SDR hardware, or equivalent)Â
- Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML to RF or sensor data in a real system, not only in researchÂ
- Track record of delivering capability into an operational or test environment and getting it usedÂ
- Experience leading technical teams or setting technical direction for a program or accountÂ
- Comfort operating independently at a customer site with limited on-site support, and sound judgment about when to escalateÂ
- Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilitiesÂ
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical fieldÂ
- Willingness to be based at Eglin AFB, FL, with travel to ranges, test events, and CONUS sites as neededÂ
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Prior experience as a forward deployed engineer or embedded technical lead with a government customerÂ
- Experience with distributed or networked sensing architectures, multi-node TDOA/FDOA geolocation, or sensor fusionÂ
