Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support development programs within the Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The role is responsible for managing supply chain activities in support of new business captures and for executing material strategies after contract award.
The MPM serves as the primary interface between the Program Team, Engineering, and the Raytheon supplier base to ensure material requirements are defined and supported for assigned programs. These efforts typically involve early life-cycle development activities where requirements and material strategies continue to evolve. The role requires proficiency in program management, financial analysis, supplier management, and the application of Earned Value Management (EVM) to Estimates at Completion (EACs).
The position requires consistent coordination with internal stakeholders and supplier leadership to meet program objectives and maintain alignment across functional teams.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the program-level lead responsible for material supply planning and execution.
- Manage supplier cost, quality, and schedule performance.
- Develop and implement adaptable material strategies aligned with changing program requirements.
- Lead supplier negotiations to establish contract terms and conditions.
- Coordinate resolution of cross-functional issues involving teams with differing priorities.
- Provide procurement-related guidance to Engineering teams to support timely decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and annual material sales forecasts.
- Support development of detailed Estimates at Completion (EACs) in alignment with contractual Earned Value requirements.
- Work onsite and collaborate directly with the integrated program team.
- This role will be onsite one of our Tucson, AZ locations.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Experience in supply chain, procurement, cost estimating, or finance.
- Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management.
- Experience with government acquisition regulations and laws, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and TINA. Â
- Active and transferable Secret clearance level required at time of application. U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret or higher clearance level or program access prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with material sales forecasting.
- Experience with multiple DoD/DoW contract types (i.e. Cost Type, Firm Fixed Price, Incentive Fee, etc).
- Experience with defense industry financial acumen (i.e. EACs, Earned Value, Risk & Opportunity).
- Experience managing complex supplier relationships in a matrixed organization.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
