Product Engineer - Staff

Overview: The Sr. Staff MEMS Product Engineer will join the TDK-InvenSense Product Engineering team in Taiwan, leading the development and productization of new MEMS IMU devices for consumer applications. The role includes ownership of IMU CMOS + MEMS validation, customer debug, and high-volume production support.

Core Responsibilities: 
- Lead sensor development including validation, failure analysis, and test development. 
- Own CMOS + MEMS system validation across EVT/DVT/PVT phases. - Characterize IMU performance: offset, sensitivity, noise, drift, and temperature. 
- Drive IMU CMOS debug including ADC, signal chain, and calibration blocks. 
- Lead customer debug, RMAs, and field failure root cause analysis. 
- Develop test strategies across wafer sort, final test, QA, and characterization. 
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with CMOS, MEMS, packaging, and test teams. 
- Manage schedules, risks, and supplier interactions. 
- Support datasheets and ensure spec compliance.

Required Qualifications: 
- MS/PhD in EE/ME/Physics or 5+ years relevant experience. 
- Strong knowledge of MEMS inertial sensors (gyro/accelerometer). 
- Experience with CMOS mixed-signal systems and signal chains. 
- Hands-on IMU validation, debug, and characterization experience. - Strong programming skills (Python/MATLAB). 
- Experience with statistical data analysis and automation. 
- Hands-on debugging with lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer). 
- Experience with semiconductor test flows (wafer sort, FT, characterization). 
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 
- Experience with customer RMAs and system-level debug. 
- Understanding of IMU error sources (VRE, quadrature, phase error). 
- Experience in applications like drones, OIS, AR/VR. 
- Knowledge of JEDEC reliability standards (HTOL, TCT, BHAST). 
-Experience in Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, 8D problem solving. 
- Experience working with foundries and OSATs.
