Senior Release Manager

Location: Mexico City, Mexico
Work Model: Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week in the office

Position Overview

We are looking for aSenior Release Manager with 10+ years of experience inRelease Management and Change Management to lead and coordinate the end-to-end application release process across multiple technical and business teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that releases are properly planned, coordinated, and successfully deployed into production, while managing dependencies, risks, readiness, and post-production activities.

This role will work closely withApplication Development, IT, DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, Deployment Management, and Business Partners, supporting multiple applications and releases simultaneously.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Release Management professional who can operate at an enterprise level, take ownership of activities, identify risks and process gaps, and work effectively with senior management and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage theend-to-end release lifecycle, from planning through production deployment and post-production activities.

  • Define and coordinate release scope, priorities, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Develop and maintain detailedrelease calendars and release plans.

  • Coordinate multiple releases across different applications, teams, and technology areas.

  • Work closely with Application Development, IT, DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, Deployment Management, and Business Partners.

  • Coordinate release readiness activities and ensure all required teams and stakeholders are prepared for deployment.

  • Coordinate the promotion of code across environments and ensure deployment activities are properly aligned.

  • Lead and coordinateGo-Live activities, ensuring all requirements and approvals are completed.

  • Monitor releases through production and coordinate post-production follow-up and closure.

  • Manage integrated releases, BAU releases, monthly releases, re-platforming initiatives, and other enterprise-level deployments.

  • Identify, assess, and managerisks, dependencies, and potential impacts associated with releases.

  • Develop mitigation plans and action plans when risks or issues are identified.

  • Ensure changes follow the organization'sEnterprise Change Management (ECM) processes.

  • Coordinate change activities with technical and business stakeholders through completion and closure.

  • Manage multiple applications and releases simultaneously, including activities involvingDomain and Technology Executives.

  • Provide visibility and status updates to management and senior stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of release activities and proactively drive issues and dependencies toward resolution.

  • Identify process gaps and opportunities forOperational Excellence.

  • Recommend improvements to release and change management processes to reduce time, cost, and operational risk.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate release documentation and process improvements.

  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team and provide mentoring to less experienced team members.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Release Management, Release Operations, Change Management, or closely related roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience as aRelease Manager.

  • Solid experience managing thecomplete release lifecycle, from planning through production and post-production.

  • Strong knowledge ofChange Management principles, processes, and best practices.

  • Experience withEnterprise Change Management (ECM) processes.

  • Proven experience coordinating multiple applications, releases, teams, and dependencies simultaneously.

  • Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.

  • Strong understanding of software deployment and production release processes.

  • Experience with risk and impact assessment, mitigation plans, action plans, and change coordination.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with senior management and technology leadership.

  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.

  • Availability to work in ahybrid model, attending the office 2–3 days per week.

  • Immediate availability is preferred.

  • Experience in large enterprise or highly regulated environments.

  • Experience working with multiple technology domains and applications.

  • Experience with integrated, BAU, monthly, and re-platforming releases.

  • Experience driving process improvements and Operational Excellence initiatives.

  • Experience identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and reduce release-related risks.

  • Experience mentoring junior or mid-level team members.

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.
