About the Position

We are seeking aSite Safety Specialist to support construction operations in the Portland, Oregon market. This position will play a hands-on role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and helping project teams identify and mitigate jobsite risks.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with field personnel, subcontractors, and project leadership and will bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach to construction safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits.
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support implementation and enforcement of site-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors to address safety concerns.
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective-action planning.
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
  • Promote continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture across projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction safety experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Experience conducting jobsite inspections, training, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with field employees, subcontractors, and management.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to identify hazards and develop practical solutions.
  • OSHA 30 and/or additional safety certifications preferred.
  • Construction-related safety degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Ability to travel locally to active project sites as needed.
