We’re seeking an experienced and supportive Assistant Centre Director to join our team at Busy Bees at Colac on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our 91-place, four-room centre is deeply connected to the Colac community, with strong family relationships and local partnerships. With a long-standing team, spacious outdoor environments and our much-loved Bush Kinder program, it’s a welcoming place where children can explore, connect and thrive.

What you’ll do

• Support the Centre Director with the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Lead, mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Help maintain compliance with the NQF and National Regulations.
• Support curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with families and the local community.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

What you’ll bring

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
• A genuine commitment to child safety and alignment with Busy Bees values.
• Sound understanding of the EYLF, NQS, Child Protection and ECEC compliance requirements.
• Understanding of ratios, daily operations and what it takes to run a successful service.
• Leadership experience, or a strong desire to take the next step in your ECEC career.
• A positive, collaborative and supportive leadership style.
