JD:

• Experience: 8+ years

• Big Data: Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem(HDFS, Hive, Yarn).

• Programming : Expert in Scala and Java

• Backend :Spring Boot, RESTful APIs

• Database : Microsoft SQL Server(MSSQL)

• Nice to have : Experience in migrating on-premise applications to cloud (Azure/AWS), familiarity with machine-learning concepts and workflows

Primary Responsibility

•Migrate and refactor existing Java based Spark modules to Scala, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.

•Individually design, develop, test, and productionize the new Scala spark module with minimal supervision.

We're seeking a Lead Data Solutions Engineer focused on building and scaling data-driven systems that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and impactful business decisions. You will play a key role in shaping our next-generation trading decisioning and risk management platform, and lead by example in applying sound architectural thinking, engineering rigor, and technical mentorship. This role combines data engineering, MLOps and front-end development, offering a unique opportunity to work across entire Data and ML pipeline.

What will you do?

Lead by Doing: Design, build, and review scalable data pipelines, analytics platforms, and ML systems. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership, with significant time doing coding.
Set Technical Direction: Define and promote best practices in data and ML engineering. Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption to drive innovation.
Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with data scientists, business leaders, and IT teams to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Deliver at Scale: Ensure projects are executed with high quality, on time, and aligned with business goals. Proactively identify risks and enforce compliance standards, especially around data governance and security.
What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:
  • 7+ years of experience in designing and building high performance data- heavy backend applications with deep understanding of distributed systems.
  • 5 + years hands on experience with big data tools (e.g. Apache Spark/Hadoop/ AWS Glue/ AWS EMR/Snowflake/Azure Databricks/Azure Data Factory)
  • Strong understanding of the ML lifecycle and MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, with knowledge of scalable architecture patterns.
  • Familiarity of front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular) and backend frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Node.js, Spring boot.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
Nice to Have:
  • Hands-on experience with AWS SageMaker, LLM deployments

Job Title - Systems Analyst

What is the opportunity?
The Systems Analyst (BA) responsibilities will be conducting requirements gathering sessions and other BA activities with a large diverse set of Product Controllers and Finance Controllers for medium to large size project initiative and able to provide high level key deliverable plan and detail break down of major tasks; understanding the various Capital Market Products and ability to differentiate various trade economics; mapping and tracing source data to WSB applications and understanding impact; work on requirements gathering and solution design for change requests and major programs.

This position requires a lot of interpersonal interaction at all levels within the organization, from technical personnel to high level management, excellent communication skills are a must for this role.

What will you do?
Undertake BA responsibilities of multiple strategic applications involving Capital Market Products
Understand the various financial products traded on Markets in RBC and how they have been modeled eg: MBS, Bonds, Rate Derivatives etc.. Be familiar with booking and settlement process and concepts of trades, positions, and sub-ledger, price valuations.
Analyze existing data models built on MS Access and co-relate Business requirements to gaps in Data models and build solutions.
Analysis and document Business and Functional requirements from business stakeholders. Lead and facilitate collaborative sessions with business stakeholders to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review.
Get familiar with current data models and systems. Perform data analysis and reverse engineering, to access the current and future states and perform gap analysis. Identify upstream and downstream dependencies.
Construct data flow diagrams, business, and system context diagrams, create design solutions. Work closely with the development teams to ensure there is full understanding and proper execution of requirements in a timely manner.
Provide hands-on support during various cycles of testing including Functional Testing, Systems Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
Adopt Agile methodologies to enable periodic implementations.
- Scrum Management experience, provide high level key deliverable plan and detail break down to user stories and major tasks; providing guidance and leadership through to the scrum team during all project phases; ability to handle pressure with multiple priorities.

Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties.
Work with tools and platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, SQL and be willing to learn adhoc
Must-have:

Qualifications;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree. Preferably Technology or Business.
  • 5-7 years of Business Systems Analysis experience in fast-paced environment
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and Excel for data analysis
  • Good Capital Markets product knowledge, particularly derivatives
  • Proven Data Analysis experience and project delivery in financial service industry preferably in MS Access
  • Understanding and experience in software development life-cycle
  • Excellent communication skills are critical for this role
  • Able to quickly and effectively gather, synthesize and drive resolution of project tasks in a cross-functional team
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision.
