Senior UI/UX Engineer

ROLE PURPOSE

Design the experience layer that makes the new cloud environment feel better than what it replaces. The role turns migration into adoption: intuitive dashboards, intake forms, templates, navigation, and visual standards that reduce friction for 10,000 users — especially the non-technical majority encountering Jira and Confluence in new ways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build standardized, role-relevant Jira dashboards, boards, and reporting views for key personas (leadership, PMO, agile teams, corporate functions), aligned to SAFe artifacts where applicable.
• Design intake forms, request types, and guided workflows that make Jira approachable as a lightweight task and intake tool for non-technical teams.
• Define Confluence information architecture and template systems: space structures, navigation patterns, page templates for common needs (retrospectives, decision logs, playbooks, meeting notes).
• Establish and document experience standards — naming, layout, visual consistency — so team-created content converges rather than fragments after migration.
• Partner with the Training Lead and OCM Lead on the visual quality of enablement assets: guides, video walkthroughs, communications templates, and champion toolkits.
• Run lightweight usability feedback loops after each wave; translate friction findings into concrete configuration and template improvements.
• Prototype experience enhancements using platform-native capabilities (Jira/Confluence configuration, automation, and — where appropriate — Forge UI patterns) in consultation with the Jira Cloud Architect.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years in UI/UX design/engineering with a portfolio demonstrating enterprise platform or workflow-tool experience design (not solely marketing or consumer surfaces).
• Hands-on Jira and Confluence configuration depth: dashboards, filters, boards, templates, space design — enough to build, not just specify.
• Strong information-architecture and design-system craft; ability to codify standards other teams can follow.
• Working front-end proficiency (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for prototyping and asset production.
• User-research instincts: comfortable running feedback sessions and converting findings into prioritized improvements.

PREFERRED

• Experience designing for mixed technical/non-technical enterprise audiences during a platform change.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Forge UI kit or Marketplace app UX patterns.
• Data-visualization craft for programme and adoption reporting surfaces.
