What You Will Do:

The Hot Section Module Center South (HSMC-S) is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to serve as the Vanes Deputy Business Unit Leader. In this role, you will lead a manufacturing organization responsible for delivering high-quality aerospace products while achieving world-class performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement. You will lead and develop cell leaders who oversee approximately 30–60 hourly employees, creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee empowerment. The successful candidate will be a visible leader who can translate business objectives into daily shop-floor execution, develop frontline leadership talent, and partner effectively across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and other supporting organizations.

This role combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic business planning. You will be responsible for workforce planning, resource allocation, production execution, continuous improvement, and performance management while contributing to forecasts, financial planning, training, and capital investment decisions. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to Achievable Competitive Excellence (ACE), Pratt & Whitney's operating system and lean manufacturing approach, as well as the ability to build high-performing teams and deliver sustainable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities

Work to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.

Partner with supporting functions and peer organizations to ensure requirements are understood and production flows smoothly across the value stream

Establish clear expectations and accountability while building trust and productive relationships across the workforce

Drive World-class safety culture is maintained and responds to all EH&S requirements promptly.

Drive ACE continuous improvement initiatives and utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair.
Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer happiness

Develop monthly delivery plans that align with customer needs and satisfy financial obligations

Qualifications You Must Have:

a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of manufacturing/operations experience,ORan Advanced degree with 7+ years of manufacturing/operations experience

3+ years of leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing setting

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with Machining operations, Coating processes preferred

Experience with capacity planning and labor/resource allocation

Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers, customers and clients.

Ability to plan projects and to craft clear written/verbal/analytical/org skills to influence business objectives.

Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, CORE, QCPC)

Experience managing employees in a union environment

Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system

Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a strong ability to drive and deliver results

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
