We are looking for an experiencedFleet Monitoring Specialist (HOS, ELD & Temperature Control) to support our refrigerated (reefer) operations. In this role, you will monitor driver Hours of Service compliance, oversee temperature-controlled shipments, respond to alerts, and work closely with dispatchers, drivers, and customers to ensure safe and on-time deliveries.

This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in reefer operations, HOS regulations, and real-time fleet monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor drivers' Hours of Service (HOS) to ensure FMCSA compliance.

  • Track refrigerated shipments and monitor trailer temperature throughout transit.

  • Respond immediately to HOS, ELD, and temperature alerts.

  • Coordinate with drivers to resolve HOS, routing, or equipment issues.

  • Work closely with dispatchers and operations teams to prevent service disruptions.

  • Communicate with customers regarding shipment status when necessary.

  • Escalate mechanical or refrigeration unit failures and coordinate repairs.

  • Monitor GPS tracking and proactively identify delays or route deviations.

  • Maintain accurate records of temperature events, HOS exceptions, and operational updates.

  • Ensure all shipment documentation is completed accurately.

  • Assist in minimizing service failures, cargo claims, and compliance risks.

  • Support continuous improvement of operational processes.

  • Working schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in US trucking operations.

  • Previous experience with refrigerated (reefer) freight is required.

  • Strong understanding ofFMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.

  • Experience working with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).

  • Familiarity with fleet management and TMS platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience withSamsara, Motive (KeepTruckin), Geotab, Omnitracs, or similar ELD systems.

  • Experience using TMS platforms such as McLeod, TruckMate, or Trimble.

  • Previous experience in fleet monitoring or transportation compliance.

  • Knowledge of temperature monitoring systems for refrigerated trailers.
