We are seeking a seasoned PM and program ambassador. Comfortable in a fast paced environment, balancing a complex global account and multiple projects. The 4 key must have attributes are: leadership, exceptional work ethic, attention to detail and customers relationship management. The OneSource team is an outsourced service provider at customer sites managing professional services for the laboratory environment.
The goal for the successful candidate is to become established as a primary point of contact for project governance and change within a major global OneSource account. The account includes multiple sites across international geographies in Europe and the USA.
Ideal candidates should have professional experience within a laboratory operations environment, including project leadership and proficiency in a variety of project and six sigma tools. Working within a client environment, they should possess leadership presence, demonstratable clear communication skills and an ability to rationalise complex problems.
Job Responsibilities:
Accountable for the governance operating cycle and its timelines. Included are scope of works, change requests, renewal schedules, project change control, and contingency planning.
Executes the cadence and operating mechanisms that teams work to, consistently applying across the account.
Plays a critical role in embedding a culture of continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and supporting with frameworks and process for operational excellence across all sites.
Lead execution of new site program implementations, managing multiple workstreams, including governance reporting and managing all aspects of delivering projects on time, on budget and accounting for resource management.
Assist in preparation and supporting the broader team with monthly or quarterly Meetings with the customer and global OneSource team, ensuring that schedule, scope, change management, financials and KPIs are all reviewed.
Responsible to manage action items resulting from business reviews and operational forums.
Escalate performance issues and program help needed requests to OneSource senior leadership or the customer, as appropriate.
Establish and lead regularly scheduled program management meetings with internal back office functions at PerkinElmer to manage the program
Create and maintain a culture for the program that is built on honesty, hard work, commitment to the customer, and growing the business by executing the business.
Identify and coordinate activities for process improvements and renewal of current business. Ensure consistency, where applicable, of company processes and best practices across all global sites.
Develop or tailor processes that correlate with the customer’s requirements for all aspects of the OS program, including invoicing, change control, opportunities to expand program scope, delivery of entitlements, managing service providers, and leveraging links into the customer’s internal communication processes.
This role works closely with teams located on site at the customer location and reports into the account General Manager.
Requirements:
>3 years experience as a Program Manager, or Project Manager role.
Experience working across global teams in a matrix environment.
Experience working within operational roles in a Laboratory environment.
Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
Demonstrated high level work ethic and organizational skills.
Previous experience using problem solving frameworks or change management methodologies for driving complex issues through to completion
Leadership experience with well developed communication and interpersonal skills is essential, supported by effective team management capability and a positive, team oriented approach.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of applications, especially Microsoft Excel, as well as PowerPoint, Word and MS Project is required, Power BI and Smartsheets.
Demonstratable use of AI tools for productivity gains. Â Â Â
Project Management Professional Certification.
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
Other Database and application skills, especially SAP, SQL, and any business process mapping applications are desired, but not required. Maximo experience preferred
Working Environment:
Based remotely in the UK
Domestic and international travel as required, likely 25% - 30%.
Day to day regional travel to the customer site in local area (Cambridge or Macclesfield in the UK).
Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.Â
May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.
