Driver

We are seeking a professional Driver to join our team based in Bathgate, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods or passengers to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner.

• Operate and drive vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
• Plan and optimise routes for efficient travel and timely deliveries or passenger transport
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after each journey
• Load and unload cargo or assist passengers as required
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, mileage, and any incidents or delays
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle at all times
• Handle cash transactions and maintain proper documentation when necessary
• Adapt to changing weather conditions and traffic patterns to ensure safe and timely transport

• Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Proven ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Proficiency in route planning and navigation
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks when necessary
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a professional driver is preferred
• Familiarity with Bathgate and surrounding areas is advantageous
• Additional certifications may be required depending on the specific type of driving (e.g., HGV licence)
