Accounting Manager

Our client, a growing advisory firm based in Malta, is currently looking for anAccounting Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Advisory, you will be leading and managing the Accounting team, providing accounting services, regulatory reporting, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.

This is ahybrid roleoffering a salary of up to €60K.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounting team responsible for clients' day-to-day accounting, month-end closing, VAT and Income Tax returns, and preparation of management accounts

• Direct the Accounting team in delivering regulatory reporting and advisory services to financial institutions and other regulated entities

• Oversee the design and implementation of clients' business planning and forecasting processes

• Establish strong internal controls and finance processes for clients across various industries

• Oversee clients' internal audits

• Keep track of developments in the financial and non-financial sectors to bring added value to clients

• Lead, train, and develop the team, ensuring structured and coordinated learning and growth

Education, Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant

• 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role in Malta

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and GAPSME) and best practices

• Experience working with regulated entities

• Experience across startups, SMEs, and large enterprises for multiple industries

• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Confident leadership, assertiveness, and strong organisational skills

• Clear, effective communicator, able to engage well with regulatory bodies, clients, and team members

• Strong track record managing and developing people

• Skilled in building and maintaining lasting client relationships

• Comfortable using MS Office, with strong Excel skills
