팀 소개 - Core Member & Infra Platform Team

쿠팡의 E-commerce Engineering 조직에서는 엔지니어 팀을 이끌고 쿠팡의 핵심 데이터 서빙 백엔드 시스템의 기술 방향을 수립할 유능한 Back-end Engineer를 모집하고 있습니다. Back-end Engineer는 팀의 기술 비전을 구체화하고 전세계 수백만 건에 달하는 쿠팡 사용자의 요청을 처리할 수 있는 차세대 데이터 서빙 플랫폼을 구축할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 됩니다. 시니어 리더십 롤을 담당하면서 업계의 베스트 프랙티스를 소프트웨어 개발에 도입해 팀의 엔지니어링 기술 개선을 지원합니다. 

Core Member & Infra Platform Team은 쿠팡의 모든 서비스가 기반으로 하는 회원(Member) 도메인과 인증 및 데이터 플랫폼을 담당하고 있습니다. 한국을 비롯해 대만, 일본 등 글로벌 비즈니스를 지원하며, 빠른 비즈니스 성장과 글로벌 확장 및 지속적인 혁신을 뒷받침할 수 있도록 확장 가능한 안정적인 플랫폼을 만들어 나가고 있습니다. 
 

자격 요건

• 인턴십이 아닌 전문 소프트웨어 개발 경험 3년 이상 

• Java or Kotlin 을 활용한 소프트웨어 설계 및 개발 경력 3년 이상 

• 신규 및 기존 시스템의 설계 또는 아키텍처(소프트웨어 설계 패턴, 안정성 및 확장성) 리딩 경험 3년 이상 

• 멘토, 테크 리드를 담당하거나 엔지니어링 팀을 리딩한 경험 

• 기술 비전을 정의하고 미션 크리티컬 프로젝트를 위한 로드맵을 구축한 경험 - 이 과정에서 이해관계자와 리드 엔지니어 사이에서 의견을 조율한 경험 

• 마이크로서비스 아키텍처를 다루고 이를 웹 스케일로 확장한 경험 

• 크리티컬한 시스템 이슈를 딥다이브하고 처리한 경험 

• 사내 및 업계의 설계 베스트 프랙티스에 관한 지식 활용 

• 무한한 혁신의 기회를 발굴하고자 다른 엔지니어링 팀들과 협업해 개방적이고 확장가능한 플랫폼을 구축한 경험 
   

우대 사항

• 컴퓨터 과학 학사 및/또는 석사 학위 소지자 

• 확장 가능하고 가용성이 높은 분산 멀티 티어(multi-tier) 서비스를 설계, 구축 및 배포한 실무 경험 

• 대규모 글로벌 시스템 아키텍처 설계 및 개발 경험 

• 기술 로드맵과 비전을 정의한 경험 

• AWS 클라우드 컴퓨팅 활용 경험 

• Kubernetes 환경에서의 개발 경험 

• 회원 정보, 인증 및 개인정보(PII) 관련 데이터를 처리하는 백엔드 플랫폼 또는 서비스 개발 경험

[About the Team] 

Coupang’s E-commerce Engineering organization is seeking a talented Back-end Engineer to lead engineering teams and define the technical direction of Coupang’s core data-serving backend systems. This role offers the opportunity to shape the team’s technical vision and build the next-generation data-serving platform capable of handling millions of requests from users worldwide. 

As a senior leader, you will introduce industry best practices in software development and help elevate the engineering capabilities of the team. 

The Core Member & Infra Platform Team is responsible for the foundational member domains & auth/data platforms that all Coupang domains are built upon. The team is responsible not only for Coupang Korea but also for global markets such as Taiwan and Japan. Our mission is to build a scalable and reliable platform that supports rapid business development, expansion, and transformation. 

[Qualifications] 

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (excluding internships) 

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing software using Java or Kotlin 

• 3+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems (software design patterns, reliability, scalability) 

• Experience mentoring, leading technical initiatives, or managing engineering teams 

• Proven experience defining technical vision and building roadmaps for mission-critical projects, including stakeholder and lead engineer alignment 

• Experience working with microservices architecture and scaling it to web-scale 

• Deep dive and resolution of critical system issues 

• Knowledge and application of internal and industry design best practices 

• Experience collaborating with other engineering teams to build open and extensible platforms that foster innovation 

[Preferred Qualifications] 

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science  

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available distributed multi-tier services 

• Experience designing and developing large-scale global system architectures 

• Experience defining technical roadmaps and visions 

• Experience with AWS cloud computing 

• Development experience in Kubernetes environments 

• Experience developing backend platforms or services that manage customer identity, authentication, and privacy related data (PII)  

• Experience building data pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka, Airflow 

• Experience working in Java / IntelliJ / Spring environments
