Volunteer opportunities include supporting our allied health therapy teams working with children and adults, supporting ourLifestyles,sports and accommodation clients, or gaining experience in our corporate services.
Details of the role:
The Connect and Communicate Day Out offers kids and teenagers the opportunity to enhance their communication skills through the functional use of their AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) system.
The program provides a motivating, enjoyable and social group environment for participants to model and observe the use of AAC devices in different scenarios and environments. Kids and teens develop specific skills training for the AAC user and their communication partners in a group setting.

Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th September and Thursday 1st & Friday 2nd October
9.30am - 1.30pm
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Contribute to an engaging, goal oriented and strength-based group dynamic
Support kids 1:1 to engage with goal directed therapy
Help with set up and pack down for activities
Role requirements:
16 years and above
NDIS Worker Screening
Working with Children Check (NSW)
