🧭 About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Associate to join our team and be a member of the client sourcing services delivery team, managing the development and execution of sourcing projects of various complexity levels. The Senior Sourcing Associate is responsible for executing simple to complex sourcing projects, from start to finish, including but not limited to;Ā validating sourcing requests per client guidelines, analyzing requirements for the bid packages, communicating with client requesters to close any data gaps, preparing and publishing the package to the identified suppliers for bidding purposes, following up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, analyzing and summarizing proposals, coordinating evaluation of suppliers and facilitating decision makings.Ā Ā 

šŸ’¼ Key Responsibilities

Sourcing ExecutionĀ 

  • Provides sourcing services (RFx, and direct negotiations) to our clients based on predefined service levels, managing severalĀ simpleĀ to complex projects simultaneously with limited supervision/guidance orĀ independentlyĀ 

  • Once a project request is received, assess completeness of requirements, perform due diligence and validation, follow up with the requestor to obtain further project details, answer any process related questions, and provide updates on projectĀ statusĀ 

  • Lead and execute the Denali sourcing process from start to finish, e.g., spend data collection and analysis, supply market analysis and supplier discovery if needed, RFx development, publishing and management, reverse auctions, negotiations, bid response analysis andĀ synthesisĀ 

  • Manage suppliers during the sourcing process, including conducting supplier orientation and training on the sourcing process, following up with suppliers on milestoneĀ activitiesĀ Ā 

  • Perform in depth analysis of proposalsĀ submitted, facilitate supplier evaluations, draw conclusions, prepare comprehensive summaries, and present to the client in a concise manner Process ImprovementĀ Ā 

  • Develop and/or customize various templates such as RFx, pricing, and proposalĀ evaluationĀ Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ areas of process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Denali processes Client and Project ManagementĀ Ā 

  • Develop andĀ maintainĀ comprehensive projectĀ documentationĀ Ā 

  • Collaborate with Client Category Managers and/or Denali SMEs on project strategy andĀ determineĀ sourcing approach andĀ methodologyĀ to be applied based on the strategyĀ TeamingĀ Ā 

  • Develop mastery in multiple core phases of the Denali sourcingĀ methodologyĀ and provide mentoring and training to the rest of the teamĀ membersĀ Ā 

  • Participate in peer reviews for other team member’s projects and check for quality, consistency and compliance with DenaliĀ methodologyĀ and client specificĀ requirementsĀ Ā 

  • Coach, transfer knowledge, and develop team members to be more effective in their currentĀ rolesĀ Ā 

ContractingĀ Ā 

  • Creation of legal documents including Master Services Agreement (MSA), Statement of Work (SOW), and Order Forms. NegotiationsĀ 

šŸ’¼Required andšŸ“ŒPreferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s DegreeĀ 

  • Minimum 2-8 years of work experience in procurement, sourcing, operations, or supply chainĀ 

  • Deep understanding ofĀ Marketing, Sales, and New Business Development Commodities and sub-categories as well as a basic understanding of the following areas (e.g.Ā pricing structures, terminology, bidding sheet developmentĀ expertise, cost structure, key vendors, etc.)Ā 

  • Ability to conduct basic level spend assessment for opportunityĀ identificationĀ 

  • Ability to follow a process based on documented guidelines withoutĀ supervisionĀ 

  • Ability toĀ facilitateĀ a total cost ownership discussion with a client team andĀ identifyĀ total costĀ elementsĀ 

  • Ability to handle clients' issues and escalations with sensitivity and diligence,Ā eliminatingĀ a need for furtherĀ escalationĀ 

  • Advanced/ExpertĀ Excel skills, including working knowledge of filters, sorting, pivot tables, basic formulas, advanced formatting techniques, and advanced data manipulation skillsĀ 

  • ProficiencyĀ in multiple e-sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba,Ā Procuri,Ā Iasta, Zycus, ERPĀ eSourcingĀ module) at an ā€œadvancedā€ level (as defined by Denali, Software company, or client standards)Ā 

  • Ability to assess projects’ fit for reverse auction, setup and manage reverse auctions with minimalĀ supervisionĀ 

  • Advanced negotiation skillsĀ 

šŸ’µ Compensation Disclosure

The base salary range for this position is $90K to $125K annually. This range reflects the base pay range that we reasonably expect to offer forĀ the role across our hiring locations.

Final compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to:

  • Geographic locationĀ (state and city of residence)
  • Overall professional experience
  • Directly relevant experience
  • Education and certifications
  • Industry knowledge and expertise
  • Skills and competencies

In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses, or incentive pay, or commissions, which are not included in the listed base salary range.
