We are looking for a Senior SDET to own automation strategy, architect scalable test frameworks, and drive quality engineering across web, API, and mobile for Musafir’s cloud-native travel platform.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks in Playwright (TypeScript/Python)

• Define automation strategy, coverage, and quality KPIs; mentor SDETs

• Build API, contract, and performance testing integrated into CI/CD pipelines

• Lead defect triage, RCA, and shift-left / quality-gate practices

• Partner with Dev and DevOps on testability, test infrastructure, and release quality

• Execute testing across web, mobile apps, and backend services

What You Must Have
• 5–8 years in SDET / automation with strong coding (TypeScript, Python; Java/C# a plus)
• Expert Playwright (primary) and framework design (POM, data-driven, keyword-driven)
• API testing (Postman, Swagger, REST/SOAP) and performance (JMeter/Gatling/k6)
• CI/CD (Azure Pipelines/GitHub Actions), Docker; Jira, TestLink, BDD (Cucumber/SpecFlow)
• Dashboards/KPIs (Grafana/Elasticsearch); Agile/Scrum and microservices testing

Nice to Have
• ISTQB / Playwright certification; travel/OTA/e-commerce domain
• Cloud testing (AWS/Azure); DB testing; contract testing (Pact); security (OWASP)

AI Skills — Ready to Use
• AI-assisted test generation and maintenance — self-healing locators and AI test-data synthesis
• Use AI copilots for Playwright/TypeScript authoring and code review
• LLM-based validation (test oracles) and failure triage; prompt basics
• Awareness of AI evaluation and guardrails when testing AI-powered features
