Summary:The role of the Associate Director – (Regulatory Change Specialist) will provide dedicated subject matter expertise and ownership across strategic regulatory change initiatives, data management enhancements, and reporting automation projects. The role will act as the key liaison between Regulatory Reporting, Technology, Data Management, and Product teams to ensure regulatory requirements are accurately translated into working solutions.

This position is critical to supporting the increasing complexity of global regulatory reporting obligations while also supporting the BAU reporting operations and driving long-term automation and operational efficiency.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory Change Delivery

  • Lead Regulatory Reporting Workstreams across major regulatory change programmes, including:
    • Internal Data Management Projects
    • AIFMD II
    • UCITS VI
    • UK FRAME
    • Form PF
    • Other regulatory reporting initiatives as required.
  • Analyze and interpret new regulatory requirements and assess impacts on existing reporting processes, data models, and operating frameworks.
  • Define business requirements and implementation plans to support regulatory compliance.

 



Data Management & Automation

  • Own regulatory reporting data requirements and support the enhancement of regulatory data governance frameworks.
  • Lead the regulatory reporting input required for automation initiatives and schema development.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual processing through enhanced data sourcing, transformation, and controls.
  • Support the design and implementation of automated filing solutions across regulatory reporting services.

Technology & Development Engagement

  • Act as the primary Regulatory Reporting representative for development and technology teams.
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements into detailed business specifications.
  • Support testing, validation, and implementation of regulatory reporting system enhancements.
  • Provide guidance on reporting schemas, data models, and regulatory reporting architecture.

Strategic Regulatory Programmes

Internal Data Management Projects

  • Lead regulatory reporting input for ancillary data automation and enhanced data management capabilities.

AIFMD II

  • Support increased reporting data requirements and automation initiatives.
  • Manage implementation activities across a fund population of over 1,200 funds.

UCITS VI

  • Define and support additional reporting requirements arising from the new framework.

UK FRAME

  • Analyze and define data requirements for the new UK reporting framework.
  • Support automation initiatives and manage divergence from ESMA Annex IV and UCITS reporting requirements.

Form PF

  • Support required data management, reporting, and schema changes.
  • Manage regulatory reporting impacts across 200+ funds.











Additional Regulatory Filings

  • Evaluate opportunities to automate and enhance the reporting filing process e.g. CPO/PQR or others
  • Support the expansion and centralisation of reporting services.
  • Drive the development of automated filing capabilities for existing and future reporting obligations, supporting growth

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with Regulatory Reporting, Technology, Product, Risk, and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams and ensure regulatory milestones are achieved.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.


REQUIREMENTS

Education: A minimum of a 3rd level Degree in Finance, Business or similar field is required.  A master’s degree in a Finance or Mathematical field or a related professional qualification would be desirable.

 

Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have worked for at least 6 - 8 years in a risk or regulatory related role, preferably within the funds industry. Strong experience in regulatory reporting within asset management, fund administration, or financial services.
  • Detailed knowledge of one or more of:
    • AIFMD Annex IV
    • UCITS Reporting
    • Form PF
    • UK regulatory reporting frameworks
  • Experience translating regulatory requirements into business and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of data management, data governance, and reporting processes.
  • Experience working with technology and development teams on regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Proven project delivery and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.



Desirable

  • Experience with regulatory reporting automation projects.
  • Knowledge of reporting schema design and regulatory data models.
  • Experience with data analytics or reporting platforms.
  • Experience managing large-scale regulatory change programmes

Knowledge of or previous exposure to some regulatory filings, including but not limited to, AIFMD, UCITS, CPO-PQR, Form PF, Solvency II, and PRIIP’s is preferable but not a requirement.

 

They will have had either exposure to or have knowledge of several risk measurements including Value at Risk, Stress Testing, Liquidity Analysis, Leverage, Back Testing and will have a strong knowledge of a range of instruments including derivatives.

 

Previous management or supervisor experience is essential.

 

The role involves detailed use of Excel and is a quantitative role so an aptitude and comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets is preferred.
