Senior .NET Developer

Waracle are looking for an experiencedSenior .NET Developer to join our world-class digital technology consultancy. We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges, creating intelligent digital products and delivering business-critical IT transformation projects.

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will operate at an impactful level to design, build, and deliver robust backend features. We are looking for a pragmatic self-starter who is skilled at problem-solving, confident in taking ownership, and capable of figuring things out independently to deliver value quickly.

This position is anInside IR35Contract, initially for6 months and is available on aHybrid or Remote basis fromDundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or London.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Delivery: Design and deliver end-to-end backend subsystems and features, ensuring code is modular, maintainable, and built to scale.

• Problem Solving & Execution: Hit the ground running as a self-starter to analyse, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical challenges independently.

• Quality & Security: Champion high standards through constructive peer code reviews, establishing defensive application security measures, and implementing thorough testing strategies across unit and service levels.

• Consulting & Communication: Translate complex technical choices into clear, accessible language for clients and stakeholders, building strong, trusting relationships.

• Delivery Accountability: Balance speed and high-quality standards thoughtfully to ensure the successful, sustainable delivery of features within required contract timelines.

What You'll Bring

• Deep, practical experience withC# and both older and current versions of the .NET Framework (including.NET Framework 4.8 and modern .NET).

• Solid hands-on experience working withWeb Forms as well asMVC.

• Strong database skills usingtSQL, including extensive experience writing and optimisingStored Procedures and using lightweight ORMs likeDapper.

• Experience handling occasional frontend tasks usingJavaScript.

• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, maintainability, and industry-standard security practices.

• Familiarity or experience with modern cloud tools and patterns, such asAzure,Durable Functions,Event Sourcing,SQL, andDocker.
