The Impact You Will HaveĀ Ā 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help shape the future of our Loan Origination and Servicing platform — the digital foundation for how capital is structured and deployed.Ā You will design and build scalable applications and services that power real-time insights and complex financial workflows. By combining strong backend architecture with thoughtful system design, you will deliver high-performance solutions that enable smarter decision-making acrossĀ the business.Ā

Primary ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Design, build, andĀ maintainĀ scalable, high-quality applications across new and existing product lines.Ā 

  • Own features end-to-end — from architecture and development through testing, deployment, and iteration.Ā 

  • Architect and evolve our core stack (Python,Ā FastAPI, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes).Ā 

  • Translate complex business and product requirements into elegant, reliable technical solutions in collaboration with Product and business stakeholders.Ā 

  • Drive improvements in performance, reliability, testing, and CI/CD practices.Ā 

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence and accountability.Ā 

  • Perform other duties as assignedĀ 

Education and ExperienceĀ 

Ā 

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceĀ or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Ā 

  • Strong experience building APIs and backend services in Python, includingĀ OpenAPI-based service contracts.Ā 

  • Experience developing and deploying containerized applications in AWS environments, including event-driven architectures.Ā 

  • Experience in real estate finance or financial services preferred.Ā

Knowledge,Ā SkillsĀ and AbilitiesĀ 

Ā 

  • DeepĀ proficiencyĀ in Python (3.6+) and modern backend frameworks such asĀ FastAPI, with a strong focus on clean, maintainable architecture.Ā 

  • StrongĀ expertiseĀ in SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.Ā 

  • Ability to design efficient, scalable backend systems, including background processing, queues, caching strategies, and scheduled jobs.Ā 

  • Strong understanding of testing strategies acrossĀ unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.Ā 

  • Working knowledge of system design documentation practices, including UML and architectural diagrams.Ā 

  • Familiarity with event sourcing and/or Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.Ā 

  • Ability toĀ leverageĀ AI-enabled development tools to enhance design, implementation, and testing workflows.Ā 

  • Demonstrated ownership mindset with a commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ā

This position has an estimated base salary of $160,000 - $180,000 plus a discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
