Position Summary
As aPhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic care that improves residents’ mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Providedirect patient care as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Carry outtreatment plans prescribed by the physician and therapist
- Documentdaily treatments and weekly progress notes
- Assist withrehab and patient care conferences
- Monitor and reportpatient progress and changes
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy programs and post-discharge care
- Assist with training ofRestorative Aides
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
- Report equipment concerns and ensure proper maintenance
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accreditedPhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Active, unencumberedPTA license in South Carolina (required)
- Must maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board
- Experience in askilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
- Familiarity withPointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassion for an underserved population
