Volunteer Description:

Alta View Hospital Volunteer Program

Position: Unpaid Volunteer

Make a Difference: Join us in creating a warm and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers. Your contribution helps improve patient experiences and supports our healthcare teams in delivering exceptional care.

Roles Available:

• Information Desk/ Greeter/ Wayfinder
• Department Support
• Pet Therapy Teams (Must be certified and registered with Intermountain Therapy Animals)

Commitment:

• 80 hours over 6 months (one day per week, 3-4 hours)
• Before submitting an application please ensure that this commitment aligns with your current availability and capacity. This is an unpaid volunteer position, and we rely on our volunteers to be here consistently. We have found that many volunteers—despite their best intentions—can overschedule themselves, making it difficult to maintain this commitment.

Requirements:

• Minimum age: 16 years
• Background Check
• Fully vaccinated
• TB Test, Immunization Check, Annual Flu Vaccine

Shift Availability:

• Typically Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• LIMITED weekend and evening shifts available
