The Video & Photo Associate supports the Marketing & Communications department with photo and video documentation of animal stories, organizational events, community work, and the human-animal bond for organizational publication and use. 

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the on-site videographer and photographer for Michigan Humane.  
• Create photo and video assets for animals being tracked while in Michigan Humane’s care.  
• Assist the Social Media Associate with content creation.  
• Work with Field Services team to help document on-the-road calls and collect team footage collected in the field.  
• Support the Philanthropy department by creating photo and video materials to be used by the annual fund’s direct mail and email campaigns.  
• Create weekly pre-recorded content for weekly news segments and partner activations.  
• Document Michigan Humane’s work with Community Solution activations at off-site events.  
• Organize, label, and maintain photo and video files and project assets.   

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in video editing, photo editing, or a related creative field.  
• Working knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.  
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications department with photo and video projects from initial concept through final delivery.  
• Provide directorial visions for all aspects of creative visual storytelling.  
• Perform basic color correction, exposure adjustments, cropping, and image enhancement.  
• Familiarity with basic graphic design, including use of Canva as a design tool.  
• Stay current with social media trends, editing techniques, and visual content styles.  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.  
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
