Overview of the Role
The purpose of the Talent Acquisition Officer is to find people to fill open positions in the company. The Talent Acquisition Officer is a promoter and a salesperson of the VBP. They have a knack for figuring out which people they meet would be successful for a position in the company.Â
The Talent Acquisition Officer provides support to ensure that the organization’s hiring needs are filled efficiently, ensuring that a strong candidate relationship is maintained through good candidate experience.Â
The Talent Acquisition Officer should possess strong end-to-end recruitment experience and stakeholder management, and would be responsible for all aspects of hiring, from meeting with hiring managers to sourcing, screening, offer discussion and onboarding.
Responsibilities:
Talent SourcingÂ
- Understand the organization’s ongoing recruitment needs and develop the appropriate sourcing mix to build a robust talent pool for available roles.Â
- Develop internal and external channels to build a pipeline of candidates to ensure staffing needs are met. Â
- Create and implement sourcing initiatives to reach potential candidatesÂ
- Create and post job advertisements and posting of job vacancies through different job portals (i.e. Jobstreet, LinkedIn, etc.)Â
- Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media and during hiring events.Â
- Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiativesÂ
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruitingÂ
- Lead and collaborate with the Marketing team in social media communications for the employer branding initiativeÂ
- Complete necessary sourcing reports; maintain internal trackers and databases for report generation.Â
- Leads the partnership with our external recruitment agencies (if available)Â
Talent SelectionÂ
- Manage the selection processÂ
- Responsible for meeting hiring goals by filling the vacancies with candidates that meet the set qualifications.Â
- Conducts fair and impartial interviews to source suitable candidates.Â
- Design interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements and apply interview techniques and evaluation methods to better assess the candidatesÂ
- Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewersÂ
- Draft job offers to be presented to identified candidates.Â
- Complete necessary hiring update/status reportÂ

Talent DeliveryÂ
- Developing and implementing comprehensive onboarding programs that align with the company's values and cultureÂ
- Manage and monitor pre- onboarding deliverables to be completed within the required timelines.Â
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a smooth process in completing pre-onboarding deliverables.Â
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in pre-onboarding trackers Â
- Proactively provide updates to the Talent Acquisition team and stakeholders for the pre-onboarding status of selected candidates.Â
- Acting as a subject matter expert and making recommendations on how to improve process efficiency.Â
- Ensuring compliance with all processes and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all timesÂ
- Identifying innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees/reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.Â
General Task RequirementsÂ
- Meets overall recruitment performance/goalsÂ
- Complete necessary reports, ad hoc reports as requiredÂ
- Handle administrative duties and record keepingÂ
- Performs administrative support for day-to-day functions and activities of Talent Acquisition Â
- Handle external email concerns and inquiries sent to the TA distribution list.Â
- Maintain and update communication plans for each candidate's journey.Â
- Spearhead the launch of onboarding surveys and extract recruitment feedback for continuous improvement.Â
- Conduct initial and culture-fit interviews to shortlist qualified candidates.Â
- Managing internship programsÂ
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration or any other related coursesÂ
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in recruitmentÂ
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platformsÂ
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Zoom, various office applications, and online meeting platformsÂ
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalÂ
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverablesÂ
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team, a self-starter, and can work efficiently under pressureÂ
- Ability to cooperate with the team in multi-tasking, prioritization, and meeting timelines on deliverablesÂ
