Join Our BAE Systems Team as a Value Stream Specialist in Fort Walton Beach

We’re looking for a driven and detail‑oriented Value Stream Specialist to support and optimize the entire end‑to‑end value stream within our Fort Walton Beach manufacturing operation.
In this role, you’ll help ensure smooth, efficient, and stable production by overseeing critical elements of process flow, equipment readiness, toolcrib accuracy, and capital asset coordination.

As a key member of our operations team, you’ll work cross‑functionally to identify and eliminate waste, improve throughput, enhance product quality, and maintain consistent operational performance across the production area. Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering high‑quality solutions with precision and reliability.

Required Skills and Education

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production support, or value stream–focused role.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and visual management tools.
  • Experience with tool crib management or inventory control systems.
  • Familiarity with capital asset tracking and equipment lifecycle considerations.
  • Basic understanding of preventative maintenance concepts and production equipment reliability.
  • Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Formal Lean or Six Sigma training/certification.
  • Experience supporting or executing TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives.
