Senior Automation Tester (Java)

Responsibilities

• Construct and adjust automated testing code meant to confirm application behavior across a variety of system layers
• Figure out which application segments should be automated first, mapping out test scope by balancing risk considerations against business impact
• Set automated test batches in motion and review the output produced to catch defects ahead of live deployment
• Cooperate with development teams and business contacts to unpack upcoming feature needs and shape them into clear test approaches
• Continuously refine and reinforce existing automated test packages so they stay current with application changes
• Track the root of failed test attempts to figure out whether the problem originates in the product or within the automation scripts
• Actively help design testing strategies and structures that support new features and broader system enhancements
• Participate in discussions geared toward gauging the time and effort testing work will genuinely require
• Contribute to keeping continuous integration systems reliable by ensuring automated tests operate correctly throughout each build phase
• Maintain notes covering testing methods, recurring difficulties, and useful approaches to encourage shared learning across the team

Requirements

• Educational qualifications spanning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related area of study
• A minimum of three years of dedicated, hands-on experience within automation testing
• Dependable, hands-on Java expertise applied toward the creation of automated testing tools
• Previous practical experience working with Java-based tools purpose-built for Web UI automation
• Proven experience constructing automated validation methods for web services as well as API layers
• Comfortable handling version control systems for overseeing and recording source code changes
• Firm command of the underlying concepts involved in building and organizing automation test frameworks
• Applied experience weaving BDD frameworks into Java-driven testing processes
• Solid communication skills combined with English fluency at C1 level or higher, supporting clear comprehension of business requirements and their translation into agentic architecture solutions
