Senior Automation Tester (Java)

We're on the lookout for a Senior Automation Tester to become part of our team. The right candidate brings solid Java test automation expertise, practical experience with Selenium and REST API validation, and a working understanding of web application security along with common OWASP risk areas.

Responsibilities

• Create, build out, and sustain automated testing scripts written in Java
• Establish and keep up UI-level automation efforts through the Selenium framework
• Write automated test coverage targeting REST APIs and underlying backend services
• Confirm that security vulnerability patches have been correctly applied and that flagged issues are fully resolved
• Execute functional, integration, and regression test cycles following security patches, dependency updates, and other application modifications
• Verify outcomes and remediation efforts by leveraging Veracode or comparable SAST, SCA, and DAST platforms
• Partner with development staff to recreate security-related defects and confirm that fixes have been properly implemented
• Guarantee that security-related fixes don't introduce new problems into functionality that's critical to business operations
• Review results from automated testing, pinpoint failed cases, and assist with tracing issues back to their source
• Carry out validation at the API and database level whenever the situation calls for it
• Work in close coordination with developers, QA colleagues, product stakeholders, and other team members
• Help drive improvements in test coverage, automation practices, and overall quality standards across applications

Requirements

• Three-plus years of applied, hands-on experience in Java-driven test automation
• Solid, practical background working with Selenium
• Considerable experience validating and testing REST APIs
• Background incorporating and running automated tests as part of CI/CD pipeline workflows
• Working comprehension of web application security principles along with frequently encountered OWASP vulnerabilities
• Capability to assess and confirm fixes related to security concerns
• Hands-on background conducting functional, integration, and regression testing
• Sharp troubleshooting and analytical thinking abilities
• Capacity to operate effectively within established enterprise systems and navigate complex business processes
• Solid grasp of SQL along with experience performing database-level validation
• Reasonable communication skills paired with working English fluency at B2 level or higher, supporting comprehension of business needs and their translation into agentic architectures

Nice to have

• Background incorporating and sustaining automated testing within CI/CD pipeline environments
• Direct, practical experience working with Veracode or similar security testing solutions
• Exposure to SAST, SCA, and/or DAST tooling along with the ability to interpret their output
• Background testing applications constructed using Spring or Spring Boot frameworks
• Experience conducting regression testing and automation work within legacy enterprise environments
• Background testing applications going through dependency, framework, or security-driven upgrade processes
• Experience either constructing or modernizing large-scale, complex technical systems
