Senior Automation Tester (Java)

Responsibilities

• Craft and adjust automation scripts designed to verify application functionality spanning several architectural levels
• Weigh which parts of the application should be automated first, shaping test coverage based on a mix of risk exposure and business priorities
• Kick off automated test executions and dig through the resulting data to flag problems before they reach production
• Connect with development teams and business representatives to decode upcoming feature requirements and translate them into concrete test approaches
• Regularly update and strengthen automation suites already in place so they keep pace with ongoing application changes
• Investigate failed test outcomes to isolate whether the cause lies in the product itself or within the automation code
• Play an active role in crafting testing strategies and frameworks suited to new functionality and system-wide upgrades
• Contribute to sessions focused on projecting the timeline and effort testing work will realistically need
• Help sustain dependable continuous integration cycles by verifying automated tests behave consistently across build pipeline phases
• Log details about testing methods, persistent challenges, and practical solutions to support collective growth across the team

Requirements

• Educational credentials including Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar area
• No less than three years of direct, applied experience within automation testing
• Strong, practically applied Java abilities focused on building automated testing capabilities
• Prior hands-on exposure to Java-focused tools built for Web UI automation tasks
• Clear track record building automated verification workflows for web services alongside API endpoints
• Working comfort with version control tools used to track and manage source code revisions
• Firm understanding of the key concepts behind structuring and architecting automation test frameworks
• Direct experience applying BDD frameworks within Java-centered test environments
• Strong communication skills combined with C1-level English proficiency or higher, supporting reliable comprehension of business needs and their translation into agentic architecture solutions
