Lead Software Engineer - Python

We are seeking aLead Software Engineer - Python to lead development, shape technical decisions, and deliver robust, scalable solutions built around Python and modern engineering standards. You will coordinate execution across teams, elevate CI/CD via GitHub Actions, and optimize PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server performance.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to elicit requirements, produce technical designs, and align solutions with business goals
• Build and lead delivery of maintainable, scalable, high-quality software systems
• Review designs and code to ensure best practices, coding standards, and performance expectations are met
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure successful rollout of features and solutions
• Resolve complex technical challenges and unblock delivery across the full development lifecycle
• Coach and mentor team members, providing technical leadership and supporting skills development
• Advance modern development processes and tools, including CI/CD practices implemented with GitHub Actions
• Optimize application performance and database queries to improve efficiency and scalability
• Leverage Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage work and deliver iterative improvements
• Lead database architecture design efforts and ensure seamless integration with application systems

Requirements

• Demonstrated 7-12 years of software development background with deep expertise in Python
• Proven proficiency in PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server covering design, optimization, and database management
• Hands-on capability with GitHub Actions to implement automation and CI/CD workflows
• Solid competency in ReactJS for building interactive, dynamic user interfaces
• Strong understanding of Scrum/Agile ways of working for collaborative development and delivery

Nice to have

• Awareness of front-end frameworks besides ReactJS
• Skill in cross-platform application performance optimization
• Knowledge of advanced DevOps practices and tools
