Job Description Summary
NOTE: This job posting is for Afternoon Shift (4PM to 12: 30AM) and it is on-site job.This position is responsible for assembling a variety of electronic and/or mechanical equipment to ensure products are on time for shipment. The successful candidates will read and interpret instructions, assemble parts and tools, and fit electronic components together.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Mechanicalassemblyof electricalassemblies andsubassemblies
- Buildwireharnesses andcables, crimp,route, and tiecables &cableharnesses
- Mountcomponents in electrical panels
- Readmechanical assembly drawings andbuild toprint
- Read assembly instructions andbuild toprocessrequirements
- Prepareproduct forshipment includingpackagingorders,performingoutofbox audit &physicallymovingmaterials from theproductioncell to thewarehouse
- Transfer inventorybetweenstocking locations in theOracle ERP system
- Physical &systematic tagging,segregating, andmovingofdefective material to anonconformancematerial location
- IssueQuality Escape Report (QER) to the appropriatepersonnelasrequired
- Participate in lean eventssuch as 5S and basicworkstationredesign
- Maintain 5Sstandards inthe workcell
- Ensure anti-static protection is alwaysworn to preventdamage tostaticsensitiveparts
- Work in asafemanner and ensure appropriate training is taken to do tasks safely
- Report any incidentsor injurieswhileon the job
- As needed, will be required to run smart tools and automated test equipment on assembled devices
- Carryoutresponsibilitiesin accordancewith GE's QualityAssurance andWorkmanshipstandards
- Abideby allGEcorporate and local policies andprocedures includingbut not limited to Integrity – The Code of Conduct, Quality Management Systemand EnvironmentalHealth and Safetypolicies.
Qualification / Requirements:
- Flexibility and adaptability to work anywhere on the shop floor
- Experience in wiring, soldering, cabling and/or mechanical fabrication
- Ability to read assembly drawings and schematics
- Good understanding of verbal and written communication
- Good interpersonal skills are an asset, as this position will require occasional interdepartmental communications
- Basic computer skills are required
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs as part of daily duties
