Mobile QA Engineer (crypto-wallet & card)

We're a product team building a non-custodial crypto wallet (iOS/Android), a crypto card, and a growing suite of investment products. We ship fast, multiple releases per week across mobile and backend — and quality is critical because our users trust us with their money and assets.

We're looking for a highly technical Mobile QA Engineer (Expert)who enjoys working close to engineering, product, and design teams,taking ownership of quality across complex fintech products. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong testing expertisewitha product mindsetand a passion for building reliable systems at scale.

We operate under the principle that quality is owned by the entire engineering team. Your role is not to act as a gatekeeper, but to raise the quality bar through technical expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement of testing practices. It's about being the technical anchor for quality, working hands-on alongside engineering, and shaping how the team thinks about testing as the product scales.

What you'll do

• Test complex fintech and crypto workflows, including transactions, card operations, swaps, KYC flows, asset transfers, and fiat on/off-ramps.

• Own quality hands-on: test new features yourself across mobile (iOS/Android), backend services, and back-office tools.

• Participate in feature design and delivery, identifying risks and quality considerations early in the development lifecycle.

• Investigate production issues, reproduce defects, and ensure root causes are addressed.

• Collaborate with developers on automated testing strategy and coverage.

• Design comprehensivetest scenarios and acceptance criteria.

• Review automated test implementations to ensure meaningful coverage of business-critical functionality.

• Set the QA baracross the teamby building out templates, checklists, and bug-reporting standards, while tracking key metrics (defect rate, escape rate, CFR/LT) and translating them into actionable reports.

• Keep production rock solid — overseeing monitoring across Sentry, Firebase, and Grafana, leading incident response and post-mortems, and digging into root causes to strengthen the system over time.

• Contribute to a quality-first engineering culture where testing is embedded into the development process.

• Support incident investigations, post-mortems, and continuous reliability improvements.

• Monitor product health using observability and analytics tools.

• Influence productand engineering decisions through data, technical analysis, and risk assessment.

• Help teams balancedelivery speed with product reliability and customer trust.

What we're looking for

Core QA expertise

• Experience testing complex business logic in the high-load payments products,crypto wallets/cards,or similarly regulated domainsduring the last 3+ years as a Mobile QA Engineer (Lead/Senior).

• Strong hands-on experience in manual testingof mobile applications and backend systems, with 5+ years of experience delivering quality in production environments.

• Hands-on experience establishing and nurturing a quality-first culture across production products, driving continuous improvement, and scaling QA practices in line with product growth.

• Deep understandingof test design techniques, exploratory testing, regression strategies, and risk-based testing.

• Strong API testing and debugging skills.

• Experience working closely with engineering teamson test automation initiatives.

• Ability to understand system architecture, backend integrations, and data flows.

• Good understanding of performance, reliability, and scalability testing principles.

Tools & Technologies

• API testing: Postman, Swagger.

• Traffic inspection and debugging: Charles or similar tools.

• Monitoring and observability: Sentry, Grafana, Firebase.

• Mobile testing environments: Android Studio, TestFlight.

• Test management platforms: Qase, TestRail, or similar.

• SQL and Git.

What makes you stand out

• Experience building or scaling quality processes in high-growth product environments.

• Familiarity with React Native applications and mobile testing frameworks.

• Experience with AI-assisted engineering and testing workflows.

• Understanding of security-sensitive user journeys,authentication, signing flows, and asset protection mechanisms.

• Experience with load and performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust.

• Experience working withKYC/AMLsystems.
