What will you be doing?

As Manager Corporate Facilities, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our Hamburg location operates smoothly, safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Regional Director Corporate Facilities, you will act as the local subject matter expert for all facilities topics, balancing strategic leadership with hands on operational delivery.

Your days will be varied and impactful. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to align facilities strategy with business needs, lead and coordinate service providers and contractors, and oversee projects that support new ways of working. In close collaboration with Health, Safety and Environment teams, you will ensure full compliance with legislation and company standards, while continuously looking for opportunities to improve service, sustainability and the employee experience.

The Facilities Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Hamburg site regarding all facilities related topics including, but not limited to, Foot print changes, Security, Business Continuity Plans BCP, Business Services, and strategic direction for design, construction, standards and maintenance for the sites in scope.

This role manages and delivers the provision of facilities services through local facility team management, contractors, service providers and communication with stakeholders. Focusing on service delivery and supporting the core business to succeed.

What will you need to be successful?

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership capability and strategic thinking.

  • Relevant education like e.g. Business, Facilities, Engineering

  • Minimum of proven 7 years experience in facility management, construction project management or equivalent functions

  • Proven experience in facilities management and or construction project management within a corporate environment, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and manage relationshsips with landlords and external service providers
    Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations, building services and compliance driven environments
    The ability to balance day to day operational demands with longer term strategic objectives and projects

  • Excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and stakeholder management skills, combined with a collaborative leadership style

  • Very good knowledge in using IT Systems, e.g. MS Office and other corporate tools

  • Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)

Preferred:

  • German FM certificate obtained IFMA CFM, Fachwirt in Facility Management GEFMA, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety standard
