Knowledge Solutions Senior Developer

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices in major commercial, legal, and governmental hubs worldwide, is seeking a Knowledge Solutions Senior Developer to join our Knowledge Solutions team.

Join a small, high-impact engineering team where your work directly shapes how attorneys and business professionals access knowledge and interact with emerging AI-driven solutions across the firm. You’ll own meaningful front-end architecture decisions, shape modern React experiences, and help define how AI capabilities are surfaced through intuitive, high-quality user interfaces.

This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building modern front-end applications that power internal tools, knowledge systems, and AI-driven solutions

  • Developing user interfaces for AI-enabled applications, including search, summarization, and intelligent workflows

  • Creating search-driven experiences backed by platforms such as Azure AI Search and other data services

  • Building SPFx web parts that support the firm’s intranet and knowledge ecosystem

  • Improving performance, usability, and maintainability of existing applications

What you’ll do:

  • Design and build modern, scalable front-end applications usingReact, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.

  • Turn Figma designs intofast, accessible, production-quality UI.

  • Own front-end architecture and make key technical decisions with minimal oversight.

  • Build user experiences forAI-driven features such as search, recommendations, and data-rich interfaces.

  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrateREST and GraphQL APIs, using schema-driven development and code generation.

  • Build withquality by default: strong unit test coverage (Jest, React Testing Library).

  • Implementfeature flags to enable safe releases, experimentation, and iterative delivery.

  • Write code that istestable, observable, and designed for long-term maintainability.

  • Write and maintainclean, CI/CD-ready code that supports automated testing and seamless deployment processes.

  • Integrate applications with Azure App Insights for monitoring and observability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across UI and integration layers.

  • Ensure adherence to security, accessibility (WCAG), and performance best practices.

Modern development & AI tooling:

  • Actively useAI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Codex-based tools, etc.) to accelerate development

  • Apply strong judgment to validate and refine AI-generated code

  • Help evolve team practices arounddeveloper productivity and tooling

Experience and qualifications:

  • 6–8+ years of front-end development experience

  • Deep expertise inJavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern CSS

  • Experience buildingproduction-grade, user-facing applications

  • Strong experience withGraphQL and client-side integration patterns

  • Experience usingGraphQL code generation tools

  • Solid understanding ofAPI integration and data flow

  • Experience working incollaborative Git environments

  • Comfort working inAgile teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience withSPFx / SharePoint Online

  • Familiarity withfeature flagging tools (LaunchDarkly, Azure App Configuration, etc.)

  • Experience building or contributing todesign systems or component libraries

  • Exposure toperformance tuning and front-end observability

  • Familiarity withauthentication patterns (OAuth, MSAL)

  • Experience with modern build tools such asVite

  • Familiarity withPower Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and integrating low-code solutions with custom-built applications
