Work Location: Palo Alto, CA 94304 (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end iRDK bring-up on the MediaTek C-X1 platform, from the EVK reference design to the custom iRDK board.
- Own the software stack bring-up, including:
- Bootloader
- Linux Kernel
- Board Support Package (BSP)
- Middleware integration
- Serve as the primary technical interface with MediaTek for platform enablement, issue resolution, and technical escalations.
- Drive platform characterization, including:
- Performance analysis
- Stability validation
- Thermal profiling
- Prepare and present weekly status updates, technical risks, mitigation plans, and key decisions to program leadership.
- Collaborate closely with architecture, hardware, firmware, and software teams to define and execute the platform bring-up strategy.
Top 5 Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience with iRDK platform bring-up
- Hands-on experience with MediaTek C-X1 or similar embedded SoCs
- Expertise in Embedded Linux, Linux Kernel, Bootloader, and BSP development
- Experience with middleware integration and platform enablement
- Excellent technical leadership and cross-functional communication skills
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in embedded software development and platform bring-up.
- Strong knowledge of Linux boot process, kernel configuration, and BSP customization.
- Experience working with hardware bring-up, board debugging, and device enablement.
- Ability to work directly with silicon vendors such as MediaTek.
- Experience analyzing system performance, stability, and thermal characteristics.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
