Role Description:
• Support ad hoc analyses and special projects, providing timely insights to meet evolving business and reporting needs
• Primarily focus on ISL and Trad reinsurance valuation for both ceded and assumed business
• Prepare and analyze Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Valuation work, while ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting outputs
• Specific monthly/quarterly activities might include preparing or reviewing LDTI work, Hannover ceded reserves, return on premium calculations, reserve rollforwards, inforce file, reclasses, recapture adjustments, and earnings analysis.
• Specific annual assignments might include Schedule S, AIR, Exhibit 5, EDP
• Prepare and analyze the calculation of Stat, Tax, GAAP reserves and RBC figures
• Support review and analysis related to regulations, reserve methodologies, and other valuation issues
• Assist with the preparation and review of required controls deemed necessary to maintain the integrity of the business, including requests from auditors
• Prepare and maintain the coordination of monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring timely completion of all financial reporting deliverables and aligning deadlines with resource availability and PTO schedules
• Work in TAI system to understand treaties and policy level details, including reserves,
premiums, and allowances; support TAI testing and system upgrades
• Support other reinsurance teams including financial re, operations, systems, and accounting
• Ensure accurate flow of information from admin systems to valuation models to model output to SAP to blackline
• Improve processes related to valuation systems, spreadsheets, databases, and other valuation tools
• Collaborate with Client partners to update reporting requirements, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial close activities
• Complete Single Cell Testing and UAT projects
Location:
• Required to be in US to
• Meet deadlines later in the US day, after India has logged out for the day
• Review/approve work completed in India with a faster turn around
• Reduce turn around time for quick questions for US stake holders
• Have more coverage for urgent requests
• Allow more time for real time collaboration during US working hours
• Brainstorm and troubleshoot in real time with our current US team
• Provide timely responses to our US senior management’s requests
Skills:
• Detail oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Working knowledge of MS Office especially Excel.
• Programming skills in SAS, Visual Basic, or SQL is a plus.
• Experience with SAP, Sybase, or ADR is a plus
