KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position ofLead/ Specialist Procurement– ExpeditorEngineer for anOffshore Projectto be based inAbu Dhabi in Office.

The Procurement Engineer – Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery of materials and equipment required for offshore projects. The role focuses on expediting vendor activities, monitoring production schedules, resolving delays, and coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, inspection agencies, and project teams to meet project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Expediting

• Reviewpurchase orders, contracts, and technical specifications for offshore materials and equipment
• Develop and maintainexpediting plans aligned with project schedules
• Monitor vendormanufacturing, fabrication, testing, and documentation progress
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure compliance withagreed delivery dates and milestones
• Identify potential delays and implementmitigation and recovery plans

Vendor & Supplier Coordination

• Act as the main point of contact betweensuppliers, vendors, and internal teams
• Conduct regularprogress meetings with vendors (virtual or onsite)
• Coordinate with vendors forFAT, inspections, and material release
• Expedite critical and long‑lead items essential for offshore installation

Inspection, Logistics & Documentation

• Coordinate withthird-party inspection agencies for offshore equipment
• Ensure timely completion and submission ofvendor documents, MRBs, and certificates
• Liaise with logistics and freight forwarding teams forshipping, customs clearance, and offshore delivery
• Track packing, preservation, and marking requirements for offshore conditions

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

• Prepare and issueweekly/monthly expediting and procurement status reports
• Highlight risks related to delivery schedules, quality, or compliance
• Coordinate closely withEngineering, QA/QC, Planning, Construction, and Offshore teams

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure materials and equipment meetoffshore standards and project specifications (API, ASME, ISO, NORSOK, etc.)
• Verify compliance withHSE requirements for offshore projects
• Support audits, inspections, and vendor assessments as required

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum Overall 20+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
• Strong expertise in all aspects of procurement activities within the Offshore Oil & Gas industry.
• Having minimum 5+ years of previous experience working inADNOC Projects.
• 5–10 years of experience in procurement and expediting, preferably inoffshore oil & gas or EPC projects.
• Strong experience handling long‑lead offshore equipment (valves, piping, rotating equipment, packages, etc.)
• Prior experience in vendor expediting, inspections, and logistics coordination
• Must have worked at least 5 years of experience in similar position for mega oil and gas FEED/ EPC project ( more than US$ 1 Billion).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is a MUST.
