- Occasional weekend rotation
- The Supervisor will provide operational and staff support for the Cardiovascular CT and MRI modalities across Allina Health MHI East and West campuses
Job Description:
Oversees the day to day operations and services of multiple medical imaging specialties. Assures that the staff is clinically competent and that there is adequate trained staff, supplies and equipment to meet the workload demands. Completes hiring, training, scheduling and performance management for technologist staff. May work in a technologist capacity at times.
Principle Responsibilities
- Supervises the daily operations of the department.
- Checks daily work assignment to assure preparedness.
- Provides clinical and technical assistance to technologists on related equipment and procedures.
- Manages daily staffing and overtime to optimize productivity.
- Performs quality assessments on equipment.
- Maintains preventative maintenance on imaging equipment.
- Assists with supply needs and new product evaluation.
- Assists in development and updating of policies and procedures.
- Coordinates quality and process improvement projects.
- Supervision of staff.
- Performance management of employee, including performance reviews.
- Hires and onboards new employees.
- Trains, orients and maintains competencies for employees.
- Maintains scheduling, time off approval and timecard sign-off.
- Maintains optimal staffing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree from an accredited school of Radiology
- 2+ years clinical experience in Medical Imaging
- 0 to 2 years of leadership experience as a lead or supervisor
Licenses/Certifications
- Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire
- Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below
â—¦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
â—¦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
â—¦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire) - Mammography, MRI or CT advanced certification upon hire preferred
Physical Demands
- Medium Work*:
- Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently
Pay Range
Pay Range: $46.42 to $64.22 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work. Â
