Avantor is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Inside Sales Representative to support and grow our Bioscience and MedTech portfolio. This full-time remote position, ideally based in the Greater Montreal area. In this role, you’ll partner with customers using a consultative, value-based sales approach, helping them solve challenges through Avantor’s expansive portfolio of products and services. What we’re looking for:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience:0-3 years of success in a complex B2B sales environment, preferably solution‑based and involving multiple decision makers
    • Background in distribution, laboratory, scientific, or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred

Sales & Business Skills

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets through a strategic, consultative selling approach
  • Ability to apply structured selling methodologies (e.g., SPIN, Challenger, Miller Heiman)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to plan and sell strategically within accounts
  • Confidence engaging business owners and senior decision makers in meaningful, value‑focused conversations
  • Experience managing challenging conversations with professionalism and poise

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills across customers, peers, leadership, and internal teams
  • Bilingual French and English (spoken and written) to support customers, suppliers, and colleagues outside Quebec

Technical & Practical Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with C4C and/or Qlik Sense is an asset
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize territory activities
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally
  • Ability to travel to the United States for annual sales meetings and periodic training

  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities by managing a strong sales pipeline and preparing compelling, value-driven proposals
  • Grow existing accounts by aligning Avantor’s solutions with evolving customer needs and long-term retention goals
  • Engage customers consultatively to understand their operations, identify opportunities, and recommend tailored solutions
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership and internal specialists to develop proposals, action plans, and growth strategies
  • Leverage marketing tools, data, and reporting (including sales analytics and forecasting) to guide decision-making
  • Confidently analyze and discuss sales performance, account activity and forecast accuracy
  • Represent Avantor’s mission and values while consistently adhering to the Avantor Code of Conduct
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites, training sessions, and annual sales conferences (including the United States)
