Lived Experience, Co Trainer - Nationwide

Do you have Lived Experience of Autism or a Learning Disability and would like to become a Co Trainer, delivering Oliver McGowan Training locally in your community.

We currently have a need for applicants living in and around these areas:

• Cambridge
• Exeter
• Milton Keynes
• Truro
• Plymouth
• Reading
• Oxford

We offer a blend of: Work from home (online delivery of Tier 1) with face-to-face delivery locally ( within 1 hour of home)  of Tier 2 programmes

Your lived experience is essential to delivering theOliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism. We willfully fund your training and support you every step of the way so you can become a confidentCo-Trainer, delivering sessions online and (if you choose) in person.

You will always work alongside an experienced Facilitator Trainer who will support you throughout.

Training and Support

• All training is fully funded
• Ongoing support from our dedicated Employability Team
• Help with reasonable adjustments to suit your needs
• Mentoring and guidance throughout your journey

The Role

As aCo-Trainer with Lived Experience, you will:

• Co-deliverOliver McGowan Mandatory Training
• Tier 1: Online sessions delivered from home
• Tier 2 (optional): Face-to-face sessions within around 1 hour of your home
• Share your personal experiences in a safe, structured, and positive way
• Help health and social care staff understand what good care and communication look like
• Work closely with another trainer to deliver engaging and inclusive sessions
• Support the development of accessible and engaging training materials
• Act as a professional ambassador for people with learning disabilities

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has alearning disability and experiences they feel comfortable sharing to other people who are learning
• Is passionate about improving understanding and respect
• Feels confident speaking to groups, or is willing to build confidence
• Enjoys working as part of a supportive team
• Is open to learning and personal development
• Can travel locally if choosing to deliver face-to-face sessions

You donot need previous training experience — we will provide everything you need to succeed.
