The Procurement Data and Insight Analyst plays a key role in supporting Unilabsâ procurement operations through data analysis, reporting, and actionable insights. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, data analysis methods, and business intelligence tools. The successful candidate will work closely with the procurement team to optimize strategies, identify savings opportunities, and monitor supplier performance.Â

About the roleÂ
The Procurement Data and Insight Analyst is responsible for building and maintaining analytical tools and intelligence systems that support procurement planning and operations across Europe. This is primarily a technical role focused on dashboards, automated reporting, and monitoring frameworks that help the procurement team act proactively on contract risks, savings opportunities, and process bottlenecks.Â
The successful candidate will work at the intersection of data engineering, procurement strategy, and operational excellence, translating complex spend data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.Â
Key responsibilitiesÂ
Tool development & BI ownership core focusÂ
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reports to support procurement planning and decision-makingÂ
- Develop and manage monitoring frameworks that generate real-time alerts for contract expirations, process delays, and sourcing gapsÂ
- Build and maintain Excel-based tools using automation features such as Power Query or VBA for ad hoc analysis and modellingÂ
- Ensure data quality, refresh reliability, and clear documentation across all developed toolsÂ
Procurement intelligence & monitoring core focusÂ
- Identify spend categories not covered by active contracts and prioritize them for negotiation cyclesÂ
- Maintain a live view of the contract portfolio, including renewal timelines, savings tracking, and compliance statusÂ
- Flag delayed procurement processes and escalate them to the relevant stakeholders in a timely mannerÂ
- Produce regular spend analyses to identify trends, maverick buying, and cost-saving opportunities across categories

Data analysis & reportingÂ
- Collect, structure, and interpret large procurement datasets to identify patterns and improvement opportunitiesÂ
- Define and maintain KPIs, SLAs, and performance benchmarks across the procurement functionÂ
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support data-driven decisions by the leadership teamÂ
Supplier performance & strategyÂ
- Monitor supplier performance against defined KPIs and SLAs, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actionsÂ
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support category strategies and sourcing decisionsÂ
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to align procurement insights with business prioritiesÂ
Process improvementÂ
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement workflows and improve operational efficiencyÂ
- Support the implementation of process standardization initiatives across marketsÂ
 EducationÂ
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related fieldÂ

ExperienceÂ
- 3â5 years of experience in procurement, data analysis, or business intelligence rolesÂ
- Proven experience building and owning dashboards and reporting tools; consumption-only experience is not sufficientÂ
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or diagnostics industry is a strong advantageÂ

Technical skillsÂ
- Hands-on experience developing in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and Power Query, is requiredÂ
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and VBA automation, are requiredÂ
- Experience with Tableau or equivalent BI tools is a plusÂ
- Experience with Coupa or similar procurement/P2P platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Jaggaer) is requiredÂ
- Ability to build automated reporting pipelines and alert mechanisms from structured procurement dataÂ
- Familiarity with SQL or Python for data extraction and transformation is a plusÂ
